Our 2009 AVMM will be held November 5-7, 2009, at the Alexandria Riverfront Center. A Very Merry Market is a three-day extravaganza featuring fine gifts, accessories, and decorative items from across the country.
As the primary fundraiser for the Junior League of Alexandria, A Very Merry Market provides funds for community projects and the financial support of many agencies in our community. We know this year will be a great success!
To be considered as a merchant for A Very Merry Market, please complete the application and return it along with at least three color photographs of items you intend to bring to the market OR a website of these items. The Junior League of Alexandria reserves the right to prohibit the sale of undisclosed merchandise.
Applications should be returned to the Junior League of Alexandria office (P.O. Box 13086, Alexandria, LA 71301) by September 15, 2009. Completion of the application does not guarantee your attendance to the market. We will belimiting the number of merchants with similar merchandise to ensure a variety of merchandise for shoppers while also allowing each merchant the maximum sales potential. The merchant selection committee will review and select merchants based on the promptness in returning the information requested and the type, uniqueness, and quality of merchandise. If selected, a contract will follow.
Merchant requirements include:
• Paying all booth fees (see below), including additional services purchased by the
individual vendor.
• Transportation and accommodations for the market
• Set-up and tear down for the market
• Attending the market in its entirety
• Donating one item with a minimum $75.00 value for the silent auction that will take
place during the preview party on the opening night of the market
Thank you for your interest in A Very Merry Market. We look forward to receiving your
application. Please feel free to contact the Junior League of Alexandria office at (318) 443-6975 or e-mail at merrymerchant@hotmail.com.
